On Saturday from 12 to 4 pm, Sifu Josh Schafer will teach a seminar covering “Siu Gar Sig” (Small Pattern Fist), an advanced form from the rare Shiny Board (Guang Bang) Praying Mantis lineage. It contains martial combinations that chain together quickly and effectively in combat. Included in this form are the more challenging elements such as the triple sweep and flying kick to cross-arm press throw and the praying mantis double flick kick throw. It is a sister form to Dai Gar Sig, or Large Pattern Fist.
On Sunday, from 1 to 5 pm we'll review the material and conduct praying mantis sticky hands training. Sunday's session will be at David's house and will include a potluck BBQ and pool party after.
$125 fee for weekend seminar (includes Friday’s Qi Gong class).
